Whether you are into relaxing, power, hot or Kundalini, here is a helpful list of yoga studios in the 9000 and beyond to check out! Yoga classes in Ghent city centre Yoga on call ©Yoga on call Yoga on Call has two locations in Ghent and they offer the most classes of all the studios in the city. Beyond Yin, Asudra and Hatha, they also have pregnancy yoga, mom and baby yoga, and even yoga for teenagers! What kid wouldn’t want to try the Wobbel yoga? There aren’t classes specifically taught in English but all of the teachers can explain in English as needed. Hot Yoga Gent Want to get a good sweat? This is the place for you! Hot yoga incorporates Hatha style yoga in a heated room to stretch ligaments, muscles and tendons. All classes are taught in English. Studio Groenevallei Groenevallei offers a large number of classes in various styles of yoga. On a Monday for example, you can choose from over five different classes! And they have pilates, dance and movement classes as well. All the classes taught by Lisa, Manoj, Dana and Pankaj are in English. Fitmybody Fitmybody is a yoga, pilates and barre studio that offers Monday evening yoga classes at the Het Prisma school, close to the University hospital. Harjati can teach classes in Dutch or English as needed. Thipyoga Thipyoga is a small studio in the center of Gent that offers classes Monday through Sunday. There are soft styles such as Yin, Restorative Gentle flow yoga but also more intense options like Hatha, Vinyasa flow and Yin-Yang yoga. Thip will teach in English as needed by students. Yoga classes outside Ghent city centre Free Flow Yoga Free Flow is a small studio that recently opened in Mariakerke. Lyuba incorporates Hatha yoga and Yoga nidra. All of the classes are taught in English with the exception of the Monday morning class. It is a small, cozy studio so you must book in advance. ©Hangmatyoga Hangmatyoga For something a little bit different there is hammock yoga. In this form of yoga, you use inverted poses to release tension and build strength. You’ll find Zumba and Popilates classes as well as workshops for children at the studio. ©(M)AF (M)AF MAF offers yoga and movement classes for adults, teens and children. They have Adem, Pralaya, restorative, Yin and flow yoga on their class schedule. In addition, they have creative classes and vacation camps for kids. Matrix Yoga Matrix is a small studio that offers classes on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Once a month they also offer a laugh yoga class in English. Reservations are necessary for the classes and make sure to check out the short film on the website to help you find the location in Gentbrugge. Nectar of Life Nectar of Life is located in Wondelgem and offer Yin and Hatha yoga classes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The Wednesday classes are taught in English. A nice perk is that they have free parking. Yoga Mieke In a small studio in Sint Denijs Westrem you can attend classes on Tuesday-Thursday evenings or weekend mornings.
